Oh Wednesday

So today I am super excited...

because in three short days I will be on my way to Michigan for Christmas!

Yippee!!

Since it is Wednesday....

Dear Wednesday,

Why do you have to be so rainy, overcast, deary and blue?

You are making me feel sad, lonely and unmotivated.

My to-do list suddenly looks unnecessarily aggressive

And showering seems worthless.

So instead of tackling the laundry, dishes and errands...

this weather you brought is forcing me to remain in my pajamas,

sipping hot chocolate and reading John Grisham.

I don't know whether to thank you or be annoyed.

It is Wednesday and as of right now...this is What I am Wearing.

What a Waste

Do you ever feel like all you do is waste time? 

I sure do. Story of my life.

I feel like I spend more of my time dreaming then actually doing.

Example 1....perusing pinterest.

Dreaming that my hair is longer, my clothes are cuter, my house is quaint and homey, my makeup is perfect, my legs are toned and my husband is happy and full from my delicious creations.

Example 2....looking at blogs.

Dreaming that my blog is more popular, more creative and funnier. Dreaming it is not quite so pointless.

Example 3....listening to Adele.

Dreaming that I become a semi famous recording artist. (Only semi famous because I only want to be famous enough to make it on Dancing with the Stars)

Example 4....browsing Etsy.

Dreaming I have something to offer like ridiculously huge baby headbands or cutesie children's illustrations.

Example 5...watching Project Runway
Dreaming I can create funky and fresh clothes out of ...well almost anything.

My list could go on and on and on.
I guess my point is this...I am discontent with my wasteful days, watching others live their awesome lives. But really, I have no one to blame but myself. So today I am going to exercise, make dinner, attempt to make something creative and pick up my guitar.

Instead of dreaming I will be doing.

What's Up Wednesday!

So this is what's up...a recap of the last week. 

I officially started my new job at Banana Republic. Nick is concerned. With good reason I might add. He is worried that I won't actually get any of my paycheck, due to the phenomenal discount employees receive. Be afraid Nick...be very afraid. I must admit my level of self control is already dwindling. Sweaters...jeans...ah... it does not help that my favorite season of clothing is in stock right now. Fall clothing...I love you. Employee discount...I love you even more.

I officially start my job at A'deva Salon this Friday. Unfortunately I was not hired as a stylist. I was hired as a receptionist...for now. I was offered a full-time stylist position at another salon, but the salon was a little edgy for me. :-) A'dvea seems to fit me and my lifestyle much better. It is cute, quaint, laid-back and best of all....carries Aveda products!

I officially started the trek to finish my undergraduate degree. I think going to Liberty University Online was a good choice for me. It is basically...lots of reading, writing and testing. Nothing to exciting.

Well...it is Wednesday and since Nick already left, I was forced to take pics of myself in the mirror. Awesome.

What I Wore Wednesday

Today is an especially special Wednesday. I am spending it up north with my family.

 Dressing for the occasion was easy..swimsuit, flip flops, cover up, sunglasses and beach bag.

The weather is gorgeous. The bay is glistening. The family is happy.
